Castlevania: Symphony of the Night is part of the series that created the Metroidvania genre. Released in 1997 by Konami, it brought a fresh twist to the series with its non-linear gameplay and RPG elements. 

The game is a masterclass in level design and lets players explore a gothic castle filled with secrets and challenges. The music and atmosphere still feel eerie and captivating, and the gameplay, though simple by today’s standards, ******** enjoyable.

The stealth mechanics, though basic compared to later games, were revolutionary at the time and still provide a satisfying challenge. It’s a game that showcases how powerful strong narratives can be in a video game.

While it wasn’t as universally praised as other titles in the series, the game’s storytelling and character development continue to resonate with players and hold up pretty well even today. It’s a game that definitely deserves recognition as a classic.
