Shift Up, the South Korean developer behind Stellar Blade, has officially confirmed that the popular PlayStation 5 exclusive is making its way to PC. After months of rumors and speculation, the studio revealed in a recent financial briefing that the PC version of the game is expected to launch in the “near future.”

Released in April 2024, Stellar Blade quickly became a standout title on Sony’s platform. And it seems like PC gamers will soon have the opportunity to experience it as well.

Stellar Blade Coming to PC Will Be Huge For The Developers

The game initially got attention after revealing Eve, the game’s protagonist, who has a very unique look. But after its launch, the game’s narrative, graphics, and combat mechanics also came to be favored by players.

Shift Up confirmed the PC port during a financial briefing held in August 2024. For months, fans and industry insiders speculated about the possibility of Stellar Blade expanding beyond the PlayStation ecosystem. According to Shift Up, Stellar Blade sold over a million copies within two months of its PS5 release, so a PC port does make sense.

The reaction to this news has been nothing but positive. As with other games, one of the biggest aspects of a PC release is the potential for mods. The modding community has long been known for its creativity and ability to change games in ways developers might not have imagined. 

But the idea behind mods in Stellar Blade is a bit different. Considering the revealing clothing worn by the characters, players might come up with some crazy stuff, to say the least. On the safer side though, modders could also make a lot of cool improvements from visual changes to complete gameplay adjustments.
