Steam Breaks Concurrent Players Record Again, Now at 37.2 Million 

Steam set another concurrent players record in 2024, hitting 37,258,432 yesterday.

provided by Steam, the platform had more than 37 million concurrent players on August 25, 2024. One of the major contributors to this growth is Game Science’s latest action RPG based on Journey to the West, ****** Myth: Wukong. The game itself has broken many records, becoming the most-played single-player game on Steam within a week of its launch. 

****** Myth: Wukong has made an enormous impact in the gaming world, breaking numerous records within its launch week. The developers recently announced that the game has sold 10 million units across all platforms and reached 3 million concurrent players on Steam and PlayStation. Check out the game’s official launch trailer below.

Additional data revealed that the top five most played games currently on the platform are ****** Myth: Wukong, Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, Banana, and PUBG: Battlegrounds. Regarding the top sellers on Steam, ****** Myth: Wukong is still in first place, followed by Counter-Strike 2, PUBG: Battlegrounds, DOTA 2, and Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2.
